About Me
English:
My interest in photography began during a time I was also really into mountain biking. So I was mainly shooting the landscape of the places I got to go on my bike. Since biking is a sport that teaches you the importance of waking up early, I’ve also learnt to appreciate the beauty of that early morning light.
Since I’ve always been into sports it was a natural step to start shooting my friends doing sports. I quickly noticed that shooting during “the golden hour” led to shots I liked more. But then I started shooting sports like skateboarding and it’s very hard to talk skateboarders into waking up at 5am to get that good light. That was when I started studying artificial light.
Nowadays I travel with a pretty big amount of gear and place flashes where I probably shouldn’t be placing to get the shots you see here.

Eu comecei a fotografar por causa do meu pai. Ainda na época do filme ele tinha uma Pentax SLR e foi ali que eu comecei a me interessar por fotografia. No começo, eu fotografava paisagens. Na época eu gostava de andar de bicicleta, que é um esporte que te ensina a acordar cedo e te leva a lugares bonitos. Eu basicamente fotografava esses lugares. Era algo simples mas me ensinou a apreciar a luz boa da manhã.
Como eu sempre gostei de esportes foi natural começar a fotografar os meus amigos praticando os esportes que eu fazia. Na época do filme e sem photoshop rapidamente eu percebi que fotografar na hora da luz boa rendia fotos melhores. No entanto, quando eu comecei a fotografar esportes com o skate também foi rápido descobrir que skatista não curte acordar as 5am para pegar a luz boa. Foi aí que começou meu interesse por iluminação artificial.
